History of the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Museum of Contemporary Art
The P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Museum of Contemporary Art was founded in the winter 1990. At the same year we established the Department of Geography. An important turnabout in the history of the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Museum took place in 1993: "The Museum" lost it's premisses. However, through the loss of it's body and territory it has acquired an infinite number of new bodies. The P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Museum has developed into an anamorphic parasite structure that function paralely. It operates both inside and outside the sistem of social organisms, symbolic apparatuses and networks, but it is well aware of the paradoxes of parasitism in nature. In 1993 we established the Department of Historical Facts, Department of Anthropology and the Laboratorium. In 1996 we opened the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Archives. |
